To those who don’t think that’s important, well it is, because it perpetuates the myth that gay men – from whom SC makes his money – are only interested in straight guys or recruiting straight guys or getting all of their fantasies from straight guys.
This “straight” bull is wrong on many levels, not the least of which is that a guy this manscaped, who is clearly 30ish, who is posing on a gay porn site that the entire WORLD will see – including his alleged ex-girlfriend – is about a straight as the Pacific Coast Highway.
As for Jim himself, well, like the rapidly decling Corbin Fisher, Sean Cody is in a rut. His recent batch of gay men are all of a type and Jim fits right into that type.

Wrong Yancey. Many gay men MIGHT have turned on by straight men through history, but in this country and some European countries, when the 1960s hit and the gay revolution began, and gay men all over the world realized they were not alone in their homosexuality and gay bars were free and open and not under attack by the police and bathhouses thrived, the straight archetype for gay men diminished.
To say that many gay men are turned on by straight men is absurd, but I would think nothing less from a member of the gay community who hasn’t a clue about gay history and the struggles, as well as about the gay psyche. You also don’t have a grasp of the Englsh language. Had you written that SOME gay men are STILL turned on by straight men, then I could accept your point, weak as it is. But your writing tells the tale.
And yes, Sean Cody can be affected by what I write. There is no dishonesty in calling his commentary homophobic and anti-gay. He is perpetuating a myth and fostering negative stereotypes.

OK. Here’s the deal–gay men (and bisexual men and even some ’straight’ men) get turned on by looking at hot men regardless of whether or not those men are straight, gay, bi, or asexual.
